This includes financial planning, documentation, accounting, auditing, taxation, compliance, and ensuring adherence to both international and national financial regulations and standards.Reports to: Managing DirectorKey Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the overall financial operations of all Yaqeen High School branches nationwide.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation, documentation, and maintenance of financial records.
- Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies, systems, and internal controls in line with Financial standards.
- Manage accounting functions including bookkeeping, payroll, payments, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with Afghan taxation laws and international financial reporting standards.
- Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for management and stakeholders.
- Lead the development and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts for school branches.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure transparent and accountable financial practices.
- Monitor cash flow, bank accounts, and financial transactions across all branches.
- Provide financial advice and guidance to management for strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with donor/partner financial reporting requirements (if applicable).
- Conduct financial risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
- Manage and train finance staff across branches to ensure standardization and efficiency.
- Support resource mobilization through financial planning and grant compliance oversight.
- Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of all financial data.
- Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (Master's preferred).
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in education or NGO sector.
- Strong knowledge of Afghan taxation laws and international financial standards.
- Proven skills in budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
