- Use computerized and licensed accounting software of QuickBooks.
- Support staff in using correct financial forms, vouchers, receipts, and documentation.
- Ensure timely payments of staff salaries, vendor invoices, taxes, and other obligations.
- Ensure adherence to ACREOD's finance and administration policies.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Facilitate taxation audit of ACREOD carry out by audit department of Ministry of Finance.
- Establish and lead an internal audit function.
- Facilitate annual organizational audits and donor project audits.
- Ensure audit findings are addressed with corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurements and contracts.
- Ensure effective asset and inventory management, including regular verification and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to ACREOD's procurement and asset management policies.
- Maintain updated personnel files.
- Track staff attendance and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Organize and safeguard correspondence, records, and meeting minutes.
- Oversee safe use of office premises, equipment, and documents; promptly report losses or damages.
- Ensure a clean, professional, and smoke-free work environment.
- Review, organize, and archive administrative, financial, and M&E documents from previous ACREOD projects for audit by the Ministry of Finance.
- Ensure proper categorization, filing, and electronic back-up of records in compliance with donor and organizational requirements.
- Implement ACREOD standardized filing and documentation system.
- Ensure timely reporting to the Ministry of Economy and other relevant government departments to facilitate compliance.
- Participate in ACBAR meetings and other coordination forums, particularly on ACREOD's capacity development program, and report outcomes to management.
- Adhere strictly to ACREOD's Code of Conduct, Safeguarding, PSEA, Anti-Fraud, and Anti-Corruption policies in all professional activities.
- Promote ethical behavior, accountability, and transparency within ACREOD operations.
- Ensure compliance with donor and government regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration (As minimum).
- Diploma certificate in QuickBooks and hands-on experience with QuickBooks.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in local NGO/INGO finance.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, ERP, or other accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of Afghan tax laws, NGO regulations, and AHF compliance.
- Proven experience in preparing for and managing audits.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to accountability.
- Fluency in English is required.
