- To supervise and manage the coordination with focal points in the assigned healthcare facilities
- Responsible for day to day management of all psychosocial counseling related tasks in Family Protection center.
- Individual counselling and or focused psychosocial support.
- Group counseling support.
- Assessment and analysis of PSS survivor from PSC point of view.
- Keeping all records confidential
- To facilitate PSS Survivors' visits with the psychiatrist, medical doctor, gynecologist and others physician in District Hospital, Regional Hospital, Provincial Hospital as necessary.
- To work closely with the health facilities for implementation of standard referral protocol for PSS Survivors.
- To conduct a regular follow up of the cases entering Mother & Child Health Center.
- To conduct regular M& E visits to the focal points in the assigned healthcare facilities
- To insure confidentiality including all client records and Mother & Child Health Center records
- Try her best to protect PSS Survivors from further harm.
- To assist PSS Survivors in designing a Safety Plan for life threatening situations
- To follow procedures ensuring the confidentiality of PSS survivor at every step
- To follow ethical guidelines of PSS response established by Mother & Child Health Center
- To provide on job training to psychosocial counselors in other healthcare facilities.
- Report on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to immediate supervisor.
- Attend all relevant meetings requested by supervisor relevant to the project goals.
- Assist in other duties at Mother & Child Health Center, requested by supervisor.
- Meet with provincial/ district Government departments such as department of Justice, Interior, Women's Affairs; Office of Attorney General, police departments and NGOs such as BPHS/EPHS implementers and PSS/Gender actors, legal actors, protection and human rights agencies.
- Map the psychosocial counselors working at health facility level/ or at NGOs level for further coordination, referrals and follow up of PSS cases
- Continue and expand relationships with NGOs, local government officials
- Perform any other project related duty assigned by MCHCS/MCHC In charge/Technical officer.
- Assist the PSS Coordinator and other management staff in tasks as required.
- Bachelor in Psychology, Counseling, Social work, GHIS and HealthNet TPO iPSO or other relevant degree
- At least 2 years work experience in relevant field
- Having good communication and inter-personal skills
- Knowledge of local language and English an advantage
