Description :Purpose / Project DescriptionEnumerators will support the EU program’s MEL function by conducting beneficiary registration, verification, baseline/midline/endline surveys, post-distribution monitoring (PDM), activity output monitoring, need assessments, and disaster risk management-related assessments in the target districts.Education & Experience Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Agriculture, Economics, Engineering, or other relevant fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in data collection for humanitarian or development projects, preferably in livelihoods, market systems, or disaster risk reduction contexts.
  • Familiarity with mobile data collection platforms (ODK, ONA, CommCare, Kobo).
Key Responsibilities * Conduct data collection for Beneficiary registration and verification, Baseline, midline, and endline surveys, Post-distribution monitoring (inputs, business grants, and block grants), Activity monitoring (training, market linkages, community infrastructure, savings groups) and any other assessments.
  • Support MEL team in preparing, testing, and uploading digital data collection tools.
  • Ensure informed consent from all respondents before interviews.
  • Conduct interviews and focus group discussions clearly, accurately, and neutrally.
  • Review completed questionnaires for accuracy, consistency, and completeness before submission.
  • Upload collected data to the designated server within agreed timelines.
  • Assist in basic data cleaning and verification.
  • Report field challenges, security issues, or inconsistencies to the MEL Officer immediately.
  • Represent Mercy Corps professionally to community members, partners, and local authorities.
Management and Collaboration:
  • Report directly to the EU Program MEL Officer at Mercy Corps.
  • Work closely with the program’s technical teams (Livelihoods, Market Systems, Financial Inclusion, DRM) and others involved in the program.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and impartiality in all program-related activities.
