- Monitor financial performance and highlight variances
- Ensure accuracy of financial data and records
- Support management with financial insights for decision-making
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets
- Monitor budget utilization and control costs
- Develop financial forecasts and projections
- Recommend cost-saving measures
- Supervise daily accounting activities (AP/AR, general ledger)
- Ensure proper recording of all financial transactions
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards
- Monitor and manage cash flow
- Ensure sufficient funds for operations
- Oversee bank transactions and reconciliations
- Manage payments, collections, and liquidity
- Prepare audit documentation and resolve audit findings
- Implement internal controls and risk management practices
- Supervise and guide junior finance/accounting staff
- Assign tasks and review team performance
- Provide training and support to improve team efficiency
- Oversee use of accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems)
- Ensure proper data entry and system accuracy
- Improve financial processes through automation and control
- Assist senior management in financial planning and strategy
- Conduct financial analysis for new projects or investments
- Support business growth and profitability initiatives
- 9. Risk Management
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Monitor internal controls to prevent fraud or errors ยท
- Knowledge of QuickBooks
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
