- Provide technical guidance to field teams on child protection interventions and case management
- Support the design and implementation of child protection activities in line with project objectives
- Ensure all activities follow child protection standards, guidelines, and SOPs
- Case Management Oversight
- Oversee identification, assessment, and documentation of at-risk and vulnerable children
- Ensure proper referral pathways are followed for specialized services
- Monitor quality of case management and provide coaching to case workers
- Ensure confidentiality and best interest of the child in all cases
- Capacity Building
- Conduct trainings for staff, partners, and community members on child protection, safeguarding, and PSEA
- Develop training materials and provide ongoing mentoring and technical support
- Community Engagement & Awareness
- Support establishment and strengthening of community-based child protection mechanisms
- Organize awareness sessions on child rights, protection risks, and prevention strategies
- Engage with parents, caregivers, and community leaders to promote child well-being
- Coordination & Representation
- Coordinate with government authorities, NGOs, and protection clusters
- Participate in relevant coordination meetings and working groups
- Strengthen referral networks and partnerships for comprehensive child protection services
- Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
- Monitor project activities and ensure quality implementation
- Prepare regular reports (weekly, monthly, donor reports)
- Maintain accurate records, case files, and data management systems (e.g., CPIMS if applicable)
- Safeguarding & Compliance
- Ensure all project activities comply with child safeguarding and protection policies
- Promote Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) principles
- Report and respond to any safeguarding concerns appropriately
- Program Development Support
- Contribute to proposal writing, assessments, and project design
- Provide technical input for improving program quality and impact
- 40% Herat Province, 30% BDG and 30% FRH Provinces.
- May involve working in challenging environments.
- Bachelor's degree or higher Public Administration, Law, Sociology or other related fields.
- 3 years of experience in similar filed in same province.
- Computer skills at operator level especially with MS Office packages.
- Ability and willingness to field visits of Protection Case Management and child protection in the relevant province.
- Fluency in local languages Dari/Pashto, and English both written and spoken
- Competent knowledge of victims' rights as outlined in the Law Eliminating Violence against Children and adolescent (girls and boys).
- Ability to maintain composure when dealing with difficult and/or emotional people.
- Ability to listen and respond professionally.
- Demonstrable proficiency in statistical data maintenance and report writing.
- 40% Herat Province, 30% BDG and 30% FRH Provinces.
