Through its Patient Welfare Support Programme, it has provided over $57.6 million in subsidized or free care, ensuring equitable access to high-quality treatment for vulnerable populations.Job Descriptiona. Regular Responsibilities:
  • Conducting consultation for Ophthalmology patients
  • Prepare working plan for relevant service.
  • Perform specialty procedures.
  • Performing Ophthalmology procedures (Advanced)
  • Solving relevant department's problem with understanding of Medical Director
  • Conduct different training courses independently to the said area.
  • Formulating the objectives of a course and appropriate instructional strategies, teach and educate effectively, as well as evaluating the recipients and the course.
  • Managing both common and unfamiliar problems in the professional services
  • Assure quality of care for Ophthalmology patients
  • Assure continuity of care for Ophthalmology patients 24 hours at FMIC
  • Carry out any other relevant responsibilities given by relevant supervisor.
b. Periodic Responsibilities:
  • Prepare roster for relevant department during emergency cases
  • To conduct research on topics of interest in Ophthalmology and publish at least one original paper each year.
Job RequirementsQualification and Education:
  • MD from a recognized University
  • Ophthalmology specialist
  • Registered with the Afghan Medical Council (AMC)
Knowledge, competencies and Skills:
  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills in English, Dari and Pashto languages
  • Good Computer Skill specially Microsoft Office
  • Able to solve problem
  • Gives patients confidence, relieves their anxieties, empathizes with patient,
  • Excellent manual dexterity, good hand-eye co-ordination and good vision
  • The ability to communicate effectively and empathically with patients - eye problems can cause a considerable degree of anxiety.
