Secondary responsibilities include supporting the fulfillment of commitments related to environmental protection, social affairs, and health and safety.Key Responsibilities:In the Field of Mineral Exploration:
- Collaborate with the Mining Department and field mining engineers in the execution of exploration activities.
- Assist field mining engineers in conducting feasibility studies, resource estimation, and determining economic value.
- Coordinate geological surveys and sampling activities, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of geological data, maps, and exploration results.
- Assist in preparing technical reports for regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance with exploration permit requirements and ensure all legal obligations are met.
- Support field mining engineers in preparing and organizing project budgets and monitoring implementation.
- Manage, supervise, monitor, and evaluate all extraction and operational activities of the project.
- Provide and prepare the necessary machinery and equipment for efficient mineral extraction operations.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources department in recruiting the required personnel for mining operations.
- Supervise daily mining activities to ensure production targets are met safely and efficiently.
- If necessary, assist in the establishment and management of a mineral processing plant.
- Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with mining laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and license conditions.
- Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities related to raw materials and final product distribution.
- Support the management of sub-contracts and service agreements related to the project.
- Lead marketing and sales efforts of the final gypsum products in domestic and international markets.
- Oversee inventory control, warehousing, and product quality assurance.
- Maintain close coordination with the company's Mining Department and work in collaboration with the Mining Program Manager to facilitate project activities.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for technical, operational, and financial challenges.
- Assist field mining engineers in:
- Conducting environmental and social impact assessments of the project area.
- Ensuring compliance with national and international environmental regulations.
- Developing and implementing Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and Social Management Plans (SMP).
- Establishing a Health & Safety Committee at the mining site, monitoring its activities, and ensuring a safe work environment for all staff and visitors.
- Conducting regular health, safety, and environmental (HSE) trainings and drills.
- Monitoring the use, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials according to legal standards.
- Managing and implementing the company's social commitments in the project as per the project plan, proposal, and applicable laws.
- Supporting community engagement programs and ensuring effective communication with local stakeholders.
- Resolving local disputes and grievances in coordination with community leaders and relevant departments.
- Preparing regular HSE and social compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- A Bachelor's degree in Mineral Exploration, Mining Engineering, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of field experience in mining operations, mineral processing, or project management.
- Strong understanding of mining methods, safety procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Fluency in either Pashto and Dari is required; working knowledge of English is desirable.
- Proficient in essential computer programs (e.g., MS Office, AutoCAD, GIS, or mine planning software).
- Ability to work in remote areas and manage multi-disciplinary teams.
