- STOCK AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
- Ensure the stock is clean, well-ordered, and managed according to PU-AMI pharmacy management standards.
- Monitor and record pharmacy stock temperature regularly.
- Update stock cards daily for any movement.
- Receive medicines and consumables as per packing list and store accordingly in the MHNT stock.
- Label medicines alphabetically or by pharmacological group.
- Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles.
- Prepare requests for medicines, medical consumables, and equipment.
- Inform the pharmacy department at least 3 months before expiry of any medical supplies.
- Ensure all medicines are in-date; report and record any expired stocks.
- Conduct monthly physical inventories, and ad-hoc ones as needed.
- Implement PU-AMI's physical inventory SOP at MHNT level.
- Maintain a consistent system linking stock cards, prescriptions, and register books with physical stock and regular checkups.
- Record all dispensed medicines daily using tally sheets.
- Prepare and submit a Monthly Pharmacy Consumption Report to the pharmacy department.
- STOCK AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
- Dispense medicines to patients based on prescriptions from the MHNT Medical Doctor.
- Double-check each prescription and medicine before handing them to patients.
- Analyze prescriptions to ensure:
- Ensure patients understand how to use their medicines, based on MDs and MWs instructions.
- Promote rational use of medicines, monitoring the percentage % of antibiotics prescribed, polypharmacy rates and adherence to NSTG.
- Maintain pharmacy stock records: tally sheets, stock cards, monthly reports.
- Ensure proper pharmaceutical storage conditions in the MHNT pharmacy.
- Prepare medicines (counting, labeling, and compounding if needed).
- Educate patients and staff about medicine use, benefits, and risks.
- Respond to patient questions and offer advice on medications.
- Identify and report Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) to the pharmacy officer and HF supervisor.
- Properly store and document narcotic drugs with complete records. * EPI (VACCINATION) IMPLEMENTATION
- Provide necessary health education to all patients on EPI and vaccination.
- Maintain proper storage and handling of vaccines and related equipment according to cold chain requirements.
- Ensure timely coordination and supply of vaccines and related cold chain materials with relevant authorities.
- Participate in relevant vaccination trainings and refresher sessions.
- Administer vaccines to targeted mothers and children as per national EPI schedule.
- Educate mothers about the purpose, side effects, and follow-up schedule of vaccines.
- Issue and update vaccination cards for all vaccinated individuals.
- Systematically check vaccination status and cards for all eligible individuals visiting the clinic.
- Maintain regular cold chain monitoring; report any cold chain breaks or anomalies immediately.
- Ensure vaccine storage temperatures are regularly checked and documented.
- Follow up on defaulted beneficiaries, compile absence lists, and inform community focal points to minimize dropouts.
- Track and calculate dropout rates regularly. * PHARMACY AND EPI VACCINATION REPORTING
- Maintain and update daily tally sheets for both pharmacy and EPI services.
- Maintain EPI registers and submit weekly and monthly reports to the MHNT Medical Doctor/Team Leader.
- Ensure proper storage and accurate documentation of narcotic drugs.
- Actively participate in HMIS (Health Management Information System) committee meetings for reporting purposes.
- Immediately report any stock-outs of essential medicines, medical supplies and consumables, nutritional commodities, or EPI vaccines.
- Report any breakage in the vaccine cold chain supply to your supervisor.
- Coordinate with the Provincial Public Health Directorate (PPHD) for regular vaccine supply and routine EPI reporting.
- Cross-check monthly reports with tally sheets and stock cards before submission to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the verification of EPI and pharmacy data during supervision visits.
- Regularly follow up with the MHNT Team Leader, pharmacy department, and EPI focal points to ensure timely feedback on reports or corrections, and to maintain regular supply and delivery of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, nutritional commodities, and EPI vaccines. * ACCOUNTABILITY ACTIVITIES
- Raise public awareness about available feedback and complaint mechanisms and channels.
- Inform the line supervisor promptly in case of absence or damage of IEC materials, speaker systems, or other materials at health centers.
- Ensure adherence to PU-AMI organizational policies, including Code of Conduct (CoC), Child Protection Policy, Anti-Fraud and Anti-Corruption Policy, and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Policy.
- Report any violations, suspicions, or allegations related to these policies using appropriate mechanisms.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor or pharmacy department as needed.
- Graduate from recognized pharmacy institute (14 pass), Pharm D degree is preferred
- At least 2 years' experience in the field of pharmacy management or clinical area
- Have vaccination refresher or refresher training certificates
- Possess one year of work experience in the vaccination field
- Good oral and written communication skills,
- Planning, organizing, and, Management skill is an advantage
- Able to work under pressure

- Fluent in the national language of Pashto/Dari and good knowledge of English.
