About MMRCA:Background Information:The Medical Management and Research Courses Afghanistan (MMRCA) is a national, non-governmental, non-political, non-profit and humanitarian organization, established under No. 1112 dated 14 February 2008 in the Ministry of Economy and under No. 1271 dated 23 the July 2025 has been registered in the Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan.MMRCA is awarded for the implementation of Operational support for 100-beds DATC with three DATC outreach Mobile Teams (DATC MOT) and one Opioid substitutional Treatment (OST) clinic with one OST MOT in Kandahar province and Operational support for 150-beds Adult DATC with two DATC Outreach Mobile Teams (DATC-MOT) and One Adolescent DATC with one DATC mobile Outreach Team (DATC-MOT) in Nangahar Province from WHO.Through HER Samangan project MMRCA has been providing quality health services to the entire population of the province according to BPHS and EPHS guidelines and MoPH policies/ strategies. These services are providing through 4 DHs, 4 CHCs, 18 BHCs, 24 Sub-centers, 1MHT and 1-prison health center and 3-FHH, Similarly, Sar-e-Pul has a total of 71 HFs including 3-DHs, 9 CHCs, 20 BHCs, 32 PHCs, one MHT, 5 FHHs and one Prison Health Center.MMRCA now awarded the Kandahar Infection Diseases Hospital Operation Support which funded by WHO and invites eligible candidates to apply for the position of Infection Diseases Specialist located at Aino Mina Hospital Kandahar City/Kandahar Province.Job Description:ResponsibilitiesSpecific Responsibilities:
  • Performed daily visits of patients (OPD, IPD) Patients are treated with dignity and have a right to be treated in a respectful manner.
  • Regular attend OPD, IPD To follow all physical diagnostic steps like history taking, examination, investigations, treatment and Health Education.
  • Attend morning report, visits, round, technical seminars and discussions.
  • To contribute and ensure proper diagnosis and treatment of all complex and complicated cases of Infection Disease.
  • To help junior staff for provision of quality of health care according to the national protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide regular technical seminars and presentation, discussion regarding Infection Disease for junior staff after formal time
  • To attend all Infection disease related consultations on time and on call duties as per schedule
  • To ensure proper implementation of CDC standards in the Hospital.
  • perform all night and day duty based on the approved schedules by line supervisor (HD) for IPD & emergency rooms.
  • To give proper order to nurses regarding patient treatment, infection prevention and patients care.
  • To provide on time, accurate and standard treatment to the patients in OPD, IPD & emergency department and follow rule of RUD of the MoPH policy
  • Investigate death case and submit technical reasons and defenses for death.
  • Any patient if need to refer to other Hospital before to refer all related investigation must be completed and consult with relevant department.
  • Never allow to perform private practice during official time.
  • Arranged academic, coordination and council meeting and assist hospital director in the planning. Patient care, management of service (OPD, IPD, Refer In, Refer out) patients
  • Attend all meetings and training provided by MMRCA.
  • Perform any other related task given by hospital director.
Professional Competencies:
  • Degree of MD and specialization in Infection diseases approved by MoPH.
  • Working experience as specialist of 3 to 5 years in hospital.
  • Good English language skills. Computer skills are preferable.
  • Flexible mentality
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Requirements:Fluent in Pashtu and Dari and working Knowledge of English.MD with Specialty Degree (Infection Diseases).Working experience as specialist of 3 to 5 years in hospital.Good English language skills.
