- Assist and perform client Triage in the health facility to ensure that all the clients are receiving required and on-time services.
- The MHT nurse/ vaccinator will be responsible for the arrangement of health education sessions for clients.
- Preparing an immunization activities plan both in the facility and for outreach.
- Preparing and sharing immunization-related reports and data with the MHT head.
- Considering the cold chain system in all the processes as per standard procedures.
- Taking part in all technical meetings and awareness-raising activities on the community level relevant to immunization.
- Accurately measure and record daily medication, distribution and consumption
- Conduct vaccine administration sessions in MHT catchment area for all target mothers and children on regular basis.
- Regular reporting to of dressing room and relevant to vaccine, cold chain commodities and data including proper storage and inventory of all items received and utilized.
- Maintain specific focus on quality of vaccines through proper follow up of EPI recommendations for cold chain in the field.
- Organize vaccination session according to the MHT fixed and outreach plan for all catchment area population.
- Keep record of all EPI related assets and cold chain commodities supplied.
- Performing trauma care activities (dressing, wound care)
- Assist team members with medicine provision/ dispensing if required.
- Work as a backup person to provide OPD services in case of the team doctor's absence.
- Regularly fill out the register book during patient visits, documenting all services provided and advice given, in line with nursing and vaccination responsibilities
- Collaborate with different departments such as nutrition, maternal and child health, etc., to improve service delivery
- Actively participate in health education sessions for clients
- Ensure proper storage and appropriate use of all medicine, equipment and materials
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols and sterilization procedures using personal protective equipment
- Prepare chlorine solutions with appropriate concentrations for all departments
- Responsible for sterilizing medical instruments in the health facility
- Collaborate with the nutrition counsellor in screening and growth monitoring
- During medication distribution, provide clear instructions to patients on how to use their medications, ensure proper storage, and record them in the appropriate forms
- Any other responsibility assigned by the team leader.
- Graduated from the registered nursing or pharmacy field with valid educational documents.
- Completion of EPI standard training with proof.
- Having enough experience in sterilization and IPC knowledge
- At least two years' experience working as a health facility nurse/ vaccinator.
- Familiarity with nursing procedures and working in medicine management is a plus point.
- Experience in the same position and familiarity with the BPH system are desired.
