- Assist Project Coordinator in daily project implementation and administrative tasks, including logistics and procurement.
- Contribute to all field work, including identifying beneficiaries and vendors, participating in distributions, monitoring and supporting beneficiaries during the distribution periods, and other field-based tasks as assigned.
- Conduct monitoring and data collection as directed by the Project Coordinator, assisting with specific surveys or assessments as needed.
- Contribute to effective program reporting, monitoring and evaluation systems for both internal and external use in coordination with the program staff. This includes interviewing beneficiaries for communications materials and case studies.
- Contribute to providing the Project Coordinator with up-to-date information on the affected and targeted communities and coordinates beneficiary lists and numbers with different stakeholders.
- Raise procurement requisition as per procurement and spending plans.
- Maintain updated trackers of available stock, and all distributions, including sharing timely activity data on a monthly basis with program team
- Supervise, manage and support Food and NFI assistants in all the process by solving the problems that could occur with beneficiaries and communities.
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports and inform Project Coordinator of bottlenecks and challenges.
- Ensure that program implementation is responsive to communities and partners and consistent with Mercy Corps’ relevant program guidelines, principles, values, quality standards and strategic plan.
- Be ready to respond to enquiries, needs and challenges that arise that are related directly or indirectly to their field of work.
- Integrate community approaches, gender sensitivity and capacity building into all activities as appropriate.
- Fulfill Mercy Corps’ Program Management Minimum Standards based on the organization-wide guide.
- Ensure all interventions adhere to Mercy Corps’ Gender Policy, Do No Harm principles, and beneficiary accountability standards. In addition to ensuring protection mainstreaming in implementation of Food/NFI program activities
- Create and sustain a work environment of mutual respect where team members strive to achieve excellence.
- Perform any other duty assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with security procedures and policies as determined by country leadership.
