- Assist the MEL manager in developing and updating the MEL plan, framework, and tools for the project in accordance with the donor requirements, MC MEL Policy standards and humanitarian principles.
- Responsible for routine monitoring of the project activities in Islam Qala, and Returnee Reception Center (Gazergah Camp) in Herat.
- Take part in data collection, verification, entry, analysis and reporting as instructed by the manager.
- Participate in data quality and integrity check by following the MC data quality assurance protocols, conducting data quality assessments, spot checks, validations.
- Facilitate learning and knowledge sharing among the MEL and project teams based on the evidence-driven key findings from the field.
- Assist the CARM Manager to ensure the project has at least three active, context-appropriate feedback channels informed by community preferences and by following proper procedures.
- Collect all feedback received via community-based feedback channels, like suggestion boxes, face-face (help desk), and community ambassadors in all intervention sites and ensure documentation of all feedback in the CARM database.
- Ensure feedback received through each feedback channel is following proper protocol procedures and ensure all community members are aware of their rights and entitlements.
- Contact informants who provided non-anonymous feedback seeking additional information – only when necessary – (place, name, details of the case...) to resolve their feedback more appropriately.
- Ensure closure of all feedback cases by following up closely with relevant team member(s).
- Support the CARM Manager in tasks related to community engagement, sensitization and distributing Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials across all intervention sites.
- Work closely with safeguarding colleagues to ensure communicating key safeguarding messages in a culturally respective, sensitive and appropriate manner.
- Ensure all AHF-funded project field team members are trained on how to collect in person or face to face feedback and how to handle sensitive disclosures.
