- Inventory Control: On monthly base Ensure optimal stock levels of medicines and medical commodities are maintained, using appropriate inventory management techniques and consider the FEFO and FIFO and monitoring expiration dates of all the pharmaceutical commodities and to prevent the medical commodities expiration through proper planning and rational use of medicines .
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the pharmacy's operations adhere IMC rules and regulations and MOPH
- Training and Capacity Building: Provide training and support to Dispensers, healthcare workers, and other relevant personnel on proper medication management, safe administration, and pharmaceutical best practices.(RUD&MDS).
- Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality control procedures to ensure medications are dispensed accurately, safely, and in compliance with IMC standards.
- Medication Supply Chain Management: Coordinate with the Kabul pharmacy department to ensure a proper planning ,quantification, supply, storage, distribution of the pharmaceuticals and medical commodities.
- Needs Assessment: Regularly assess the medication needs of the Health Facilities based on Consumption data and actual needs and on time sharing with Kabul pharmacy team ensuring cost-effective purchasing of medications and minimizing waste
- Collaboration with Health Teams: Work closely with doctors, health staff ,nurses, Midwifes and other healthcare professionals to ensure the appropriate use of medications for patient treatment plans and therapies.
- Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of medication distribution, usage, and stock levels, and prepare regular reports for the management team, donors, and regulatory bodies.
- On the job training: Provide on the job training to health staff in health facility on the proper use of medications(RUD), including dosage, side effects, and potential interactions, while adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of the pharmaceutical services provided by the INGO and implement improvements as necessary, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and program efficiency.
- Adverse Reactions: If a patient reports experiencing an adverse reaction or side effect from a medication, this needs to be documented and reported to the pharmacy Management team who may escalate the issue or notify the appropriate health authorities.
- Preparation and submission of monthly reports for the pharmacy including the consumption report, inventory report, and a needs assessment for medications, to the Management team for review and action.
- Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit.
- Have a best coordination and communication skills with the community and play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct, maintain humanitarian principles, and respect international humanitarian law.
- Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within the International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by the International Medical Corps.

- The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree or PharmD in pharmacy and have graduated from a recognized University and been approved by the Ministry of Higher Education.
- The candidate should have 2 years of experience in BPHS or similar health projects with international or national NGOs.
- Familiarity with HMIS tools of MoH
- Good knowledge and experience in Pharmacutical management and SCM.
- Good knowledge and experience of Health commodities management and Quantification and reporting.
- Excellent reputation/well-known Desirable.
- Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions; ability to handle confidential and politically sensitive issues responsibly and maturely.
- Excellent capacity development and teamwork skills; cross-cultural and gender sensitivity.
- The candidate will be able to travel to hard-to-reach districts of the target province.
- The candidate will have good human and communication skills.
