- Maintain the programme calendar, tracking key deadlines for donor reports, proposal submissions, and partner correspondence, and sending timely reminders to relevant staff.
- Follow up with programme staff on outstanding inputs and documentation needed for reports and proposals.
- Assist with light formatting, collation, and filing of donor reports, proposals, and programme updates, ensuring the right pieces are in the right place ahead of deadlines.
- Contribute to proposals, reports, and correspondence when asked.
- Help manage the PDQI Director's inbox when and where delegated, flagging priority emails, drafting simple acknowledgements or follow-up reminders, and keeping correspondence organised.
- Regularly check in with programme and field staff to gather stories, photos, and activity updates.
- Help coordinate between programme staff and the CAM team when follow-up is needed on content, consent forms, or photo requests.
- Develop social media content and post regularly on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and the IAM website.
- Support CAM team on IAM publications by providing content.
- Monitor social media engagement and respond to basic queries or comments.
- Track and log any public mentions of the organisation, flagging anything sensitive or incorrect for CAM review.
- Develop content for donor communications including short videos, stories, newsletters, and programme updates, working under the direction of the CAM team and PDQI Director.
- Support the planning and coordination of donor engagement events and visitor visits, including logistics, communications, and follow-up.
- Help identify gaps in IAM's online presence and suggest new content angles to the CAM team.
- Assist in editing and proofreading newsletters, web content, and reports (light touch, under supervision).
- Translate and review documents and content across English, Dari, and Pashto.
- Manage CAM folder system (particularly the photos/images) in coordination with CAM team.
- Minimum a bachelor's degree in international development, development studies, communications, journalism, or a related field
- At least two years of experience in communications, programme support, or administrative role, preferably within an NGO
- Fluency in English, Dari, and or Pashto, with strong written skills in all three languages
- Some translation experience across English, Dari, and Pashto
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Good written communication and editing skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Basic design, photo and video editing skills are desirable
- Proactive in following up and gathering content without needing to be chased.
- A team player, comfortable working across both programme and communications functions.
- Calm under pressure and able to balance several tasks at once.
- Willingness and ability to travel to field locations as required.
